Lickitung's Cookery Academy

Welcome to... Lickitung's Cookery Academy!

Lickitung is one of the Master Chef's in the Cooking Academy. As a present for coming here, Lickitung offers some recipes which you might like to try.



Level 1. Cherry Chocolate Caramel Cornflake Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 90g (3oz) butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 and a half cups of Cornflakes
  • 1 cup mixed nuts, roughly chopped (optional)
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 90g (3oz) glace cherries, halved
  • 90g (3oz) chocolate bits

Method:

Turn on the stove. Melt the butter in a microwave or on the stove. Turn off the heat, and add the sugar and mix thoroughly. Add egg, nuts, coconuts, cherries, chocolate bits, and cornflakes.

Mix well. As you mix, bash the cornflakes so that they're partly crushed.

Place heaped teaspoonfuls of the mix on a non-stick oven tray. The mixture won't stick together properly, but don't panic - just push it together with your fingers. The ingredients will stick together as they cook.

Bake at 170 degrees celcius (350 fahrenheit) for about 14 minutes. For the best flavour, take the cookies out just as any thin, spread out bits start to go dark brown.

Leave them on a tray for two minutes, then place on racks to cool.
